Bad Purchases
The 7 WORST purchases I’ve made (as a millionaire)
- Don’t move to a location where you don’t have a job lined up.
- Don’t move out of parents home to a place with a farther commute time, was smaller, and costs more money to be independent.
- Don’t buy things for other people. They don’t really appreciate it as their own. They don’t take things for granted. People don’t appreciate it as if they bought it on their own.
- Once you have money, its hard to spend it. especially for people that weren’t there to see you’ve earned it. They think it was just free and they just take it for granted.
- Adventures sports: Scuba diving and motorcycling: costs money and time to take classes. “scuba diving I get a chance to drown, in motor cycling I get a chance to break my leg. It’s only a matter of time when you fall, not if you fall on the bike… with money often spending it will increase your chance of death or injury”
- Jewelry, is just a rock (an expensive rock), instead consider spending more money on experiences between two people. “I don’t see it strengthening the bond between two people”. Jewelry stores after buying something expensive: “There’s absolutely no refunds.” (The expensive rock lost all value to the store. After the expensive purchase you’ll feel like you’ve been scrammed.)
- Really fancy restaurants. Waiting for 9 courses to serve a meal takes forever (they walk and explain all the foods.). If you expect to also do other things during the day then dont go here.
- Cars: they are dangerous. Having a really good car will make you want to do crazy things because you can. Get what’s good enough.
Areas worth spending on:
- Investment in self is really good. They can really change the course of your life.: like
- Computer that allows you to learn
- Camera equipment to learn more
