Self-Sabotage

Self sabotage
- self identity. If you identify and label you’re self you’re setting a limit to your self. If you identify as a shy, you could say you’re not shy. If you’re unhealthy why can’t you just say you’re going to be the healthiest person out there?
- the conception of who you are is reinforced by your environment. Your friends, family, etc. If one day you decided to act super healthy and ambitious, people will ask what’s wrong with you. You’ll feel embarrassed
-
self consistency could be what’s holding you back. So change your environment
-
some underestimate what it takes to succeed. Some have friends and family that want to help succeed, but they burn bridges. Then go if on their own thinking they can make it. Living with parents could save you money and more time. Less chores may give you a 20% boost. If you have an extra one or 2 hours a day you could do something productive. The smallest difference could be the difference between failure and success.
- were surrounded by mediocre people that aren’t going anywhere. So we take their advice. We learn from them and achieve mediocre results. This are people that are content.
Great minds discuss ideas, average minds discuss events, small minds discuss people.
When a plane is crashing. They don’t grasp the situation and become complacent. They stop seeing reality. They don’t see the real situation. People around you could be like this.
Not getting out of your comfort zone. People want to be seen as great. Pride and status. This holds you back. So you don’t want to fail. If you’re not failing you didn’t try hard enough. What you want to do is push yourself to fail every single day. If there’s something challenging, then your learning.
Friends. Lots are toxic. Most are mediocre. They just want to go out and have fun. Social status is a direct conflict with success.
Just don’t believe in yourself for self sabotage. You put other things in front and procrastinate. If something is truly important, you’ll make time for it.
