Systems
The process to reach your goals.
Goals vs Systems
- Goals are what you want and systems are the process to get you to what you want, it’s the journey. Focus on developing the system.
- For example, losing 20 pounds is a goal. Eating healthy and exercising regularly is the system.
- Once you have a good system in place, goals aren’t really necessary any more. Goals are still useful for creating new systems. You need goals to know what kind of system to create, but once the system is created, you don’t really need a goal anymore.
- Once you know your goals, focusing on them could become counter productive because you’re operating at a constant state of failure because you’re currently not at that goal.
- Since each person has their own unique circumstances, we each have to create our own system.
