“The Social Dilemma” on Netflix sheds light on dis-information for profit. It’s a good watch. netflix - Social Dilemma

if Everyone is entitles to their own facts, there’s really no need for compromise. There’s no need to come together. In fact, there’s really no need for people to interact.

“We live in a world in which a tree is worth more, financially dead than alive. In a world in which a whale is worth more dead than alive… What’s frightening… is to see that now, we’re the tree, we’re the whale. Our attention can be mined. We are more profitable to a corporation if we’re staring at a screen, staring at an ad, than if we’re spending that time living our life in a rich way.” - The Social Dilemma Docudrama on Netflix. ^ This is bad for future generations. It may be good to have paper from a tree short term, but in retrospect its bad for us.
