Apartment Types

• Walk-ups (also known as low rise or mid-rise apartments (less than 5 stories))
  • + Closer to street (easier to access your apartment)
  • + Better access to green spaces (trails, parks, gardens)
  • + Usually found in residential neighborhoods “Though this may add time to your commute if you work in the city center, there’s typically less foot and vehicle traffic, less pollution, and a greater sense of community.”
  • + Greater peace Some like the hustle and bustle of the city others like peace and quiet.
  • - Typically older, may carry noise more
  • - Typically more affordable
  • - May have a lack of modern utilities
  • - Lack of elevators (Not necessarily a draw back)
• High-rises (typically more than 10 stories)
  • + Location, typically located in premium neighborhoods (located in the city)
  • + Doormen to accept packages and added security
  • + Has elevators
  • - More expensive for location and doormen
  • - Less privacy with doormen
