listen, embrace opportunites to learn from others, ask follow-up questions, acknoledge each person’s insights to help ensure they feel understood and that their contribution is valued

- Can you help me understand what I did to upset you?

Practice awareness
- Examine your assumptions
- If you have a strong reaction to someone, or if they have a stong reaction to you, Slow down, suspend fast judgement, and take the time and space to process.
- Include and seek input from people witha a variety of backgrounds and different perspectives.
